There's a kid in us @ Rosemary Bites : Featuring Chowder

Chowder is an American animated television series which ran from November 2, 2007 to August 7, 2010 on Cartoon Network. The title character is a chubby young 7 year old child named Chowder (often referred to as a cat, bear, rabbit creature), an apprentice to a chef named Mung Daal, who owns a catering company serving the fictional Marzipan City.

The show's humor features puns and meta-references, such as the characters and locations being named after various foods and dishes. Ironically, many food names are altered, like "grubble gum", "thrice cream", "grapples" or "blutter," yet all the characters' names are actual food items and culinary dishes. Here is a listing of the characters’s names matching with actual food items/culinary dishes.

Chowder : A young, eccentric character who serves as a chef's apprentice under Mung Daal.

Mung Daal: The elderly chef who runs the catering company at which Chowder works.
Gazpacho: A woolly mammoth storekeeper who sells strange produce and ingredients at the farmers market.
Shnitzel: A gray-colored rock monster and professional chef who works at Mung Daal's Catering Company.
Panini: A girl who has a crush on Chowder, and lets him know this at every opportunity.

Truffles: Mung Daal's wife, who handles the business side of Mung's catering business. She is a mushroom pixie.
Gorgonzola : A young apprentice candle holder with a surly attitude. He resents Chowder due to him having a better job.

At Rosemary Bites, we have some of your favorite characters in Chowder to sample.

So come on over and try our Schnitzel, New York Strip Steak with Gorgonzola Sauce and our very own East Hampton Clam Chowder.
